INTERFACE
The interface of MacX DVD Ripper Pro is easy and well layed out. But personally I feel it needs a more 2D look to match the Apple looks. Its just a personal vision, and has nothing to do with it being good or bad. One thing I would like to see different is that when ‘ripping’ is active, the ripping-overlay can not be moved to show the information beneath. You can’t check anymore wether you opted for the ‘ merge titles ‘ yes or no. Now you just have to wait for the end result instead of aborting the ripping and correct your choice made. Thats the only real thing I can think of design wise. It all covers every aspect of DVD Ripping and offers I think all possible options one might need. So happy with the interface layout, we checked the options in the menu.
Options only specify output Folders and language, so pretty basic one time settings.

The interface is easy to work with and shows all available configurations. The choices made for ripping may vary from person to person. Its a true ‘ all benefit ‘ application. Digiarty Inc. website claims a 5 min DVD Rip. Well though this application is fast and works great, the 5 minutes ripping is a bit of marketing talk. Contacting Digiarty Inc. about the findings and results, lead to the following explanation:
The 5 min for a full DVD rip, is performed with Sandbridge Intel CPU and bla bla… in the end I am unable to reproduce this ripping time or come even close !!
Great thats solved for me, but I don’t want buyers to think they can actually rip a full DVD in 5 minutes. There’s also one other aspect I noticed. The subtitles look somewhat better with for example MDRP.app ( Mac DVDRipper Pro) which produces better looking subtitels. Option wise, MacX has best solutions for any DVD.

The Trim and Crop options work really well, as some competition lacks the ease of operation. MacX takes every DVD as others fail to load the main movie. Nothing is perfect in life, but MacX is best of its class if you want to have extensive control.
